Best Rooftop Bars in Columbus

There are many great reasons to call Columbus home, but our ever-expanding selection of rooftop bars definitely stands out on the list. Great views, specialty cocktails, delicious food…what’s not to love? If you have been considering making the move to Central Ohio, perhaps this will make your decision even easier! Here are our picks for the best rooftop bars in Columbus:

BrewDog Franklinton | 463 W Town St, Columbus, OH 43215

This pet-friendly brewery was founded in the United Kingdom and recently chose Columbus as its headquarters for U.S. operations. The Franklinton hub, just around the corner from Oakwood’s River and Rich community, has plenty of space to bring your furry friend and an impressive rooftop to boot. The Franklinton location offers a sweeping view of the Columbus skyline from a unique perspective. Inside, you’ll find a plethora of board and card games to play with your friends as you sip on the hand-crafted beers that Brewdog offers. When you’re done with your Elvis Juice, you can hop over to 400 West Rich, one of the many art studios that make Franklinton so unique.

Goodale Station | 77 E Nationwide Blvd, Columbus, OH 43215

Goodale Station is one of Columbus’ premier rooftop bars, located on the 12th floor of Canopy Columbus. It has both indoor and outdoor seating with a stunning view of Downtown Columbus. The restaurant can accommodate up to 200 guests (it is practically begging to host a dream wedding reception) and is open daily for dinner and drinks at 4 pm. Highlights of the menu are the oysters, the pork belly, the Ohio Wagyu New York strip, and, of course, the cocktails.

Lincoln Social | 711 N High St, Columbus, OH 43215

Legendary Columbus restaurateur Cameron Mitchell dove into the rooftop scene back in 2019 with Lincoln Social, located in the heart of the trendy Short North. The cocktail bar features expansive windows that fold open as well as a small rooftop patio complete with a fire pit and furry blankets for colder Ohio days. Lincoln Social serves up carefully crafted cocktails and small plates in a luxurious atmosphere, but make sure to get there early if you’re heading out on a busy night because the space is limited and hits capacity quickly.

Seventh Son Brewing | 1101 N 4th St, Columbus, OH 43201

This Columbus staple has always been well-known for its lively patio experience since it opened in 2013, and it has since expanded to create a spacious second-floor and rooftop-style experience. There, you can grab a picnic table and a beer from the second-floor bar, or you can book a private event in the additional space. Seventh Son has a rotating array of food trucks stopping by, so you’ll be sure to have something yummy to snack on, too! Keep an eye out for Old Horatio, the cat who helms the brewery as “Assistant Manager!”

Antiques on High | 714 S High St, Columbus, OH 43206

Located in German Village, Antiques on High is the sister brewery to Seventh Son, focusing on sour beers as well as hand-crafted cocktails. The downstairs has a speakeasy vibe with lounge seating and a few choice antiques posted as décor, with a large patio off the back for access to the visiting food trucks. What makes Antiques on High so special, though, is the second floor, with removable walls for the summer months that allow patrons to enjoy both an indoor and outdoor experience where they can soak in the city views from just south of downtown.

Vaso | 6540 Riverside Dr, Dublin, OH 43017

The suburb of Dublin is well-known for high-end offerings, and the recent developments at Bridge Park have lived up to that standard, including the restaurant Vaso. Located in the AC Hotel, Vaso is making a name for itself as a stylish and trendy option outside of the downtown corridor. The restaurant has panoramic views with fire pits and lounge seating, as well as unique private dining options like climate-controlled igloos on the patio in the winter months. Vaso’s menu offers Spanish cuisine and specialty cocktails that are sure to have guests raving.

Terrace Bar | 1079 N High St, Columbus, OH 43201

Located within Oakwood’s very own Luxe 23 community, Terrace Bar combines a metropolitan flair with the tropical charm of a coastal bar to create a spirited and welcoming environment perfect for relaxing after work or a toast with friends. Enjoy a selection of bright, refreshing cocktails served up daily from the Terrace Bar along with a selection of bar snacks. Soak up the sun or reserve your very own private cabana. Getaway to Terrace bar, a hidden oasis in the Short North, and sip the stress away.

Lumin Skybar | 517 Park St, Columbus, OH 43215

Located on the 8th floor of the pristine AC Hotel Columbus Downtown, Lumin Sky Bar & Kitchen offers guests an experience like no other in Columbus. The outstanding elevated views of Downtown Columbus, offerings of wine and craft cocktails, and savory Spanish-inspired small plates invite guests to settle in and soak up the ambiance of the evening. The atmosphere lines will blur & transport you between Columbus & magical Barcelona.

Mandrake Rooftop | 808 N High St, Columbus, OH 43215

The newest rooftop bar on this list, Mandrake offers 270-degree views of the Columbus skyline, stylish cocktails, and a tapas-style menu. Sitting at the Moxy Columbus Short North hotel, it is the tallest rooftop in the Short North and is equipped with a space that easily transitions from indoors to out. The bar has dinner hours from 4 to 10 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays, but after 10 p.m., Mandrake turns into a lounge with bottle service and private-lounge seating with a DJ.
