Where to See Holiday Lights in Your Columbus Neighborhood

Tis the season for some holiday lights! If you’re looking for places to see some lights around the Columbus area this year, you’ve come to the right place! We’ve put together a list of holiday light locations based on where YOU are living in Columbus, so all you have to do is go and enjoy them with your friends and family!

Downtown Columbus

Columbus Commons Holiday Lights: Nov. 19 – Jan. 2
Roughly 400,000 lights illuminate the park every day from dusk through 11 p.m. Stop by after an evening downtown to see these lights dazzle thanks to a partnership with the American Electric Power Foundation. In addition, on Fridays, you can enjoy hot chocolate and carousel rides from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Use the hashtag #CCHolidayLights to share your posts of the Columbus Commons lights!

Conservatory Aglow: Nov. 20 – Jan. 9
Thousands of lights transform the gardens of Franklin Park Conservatory. Visitor favorites—like the musical light show and Gingerbread House—return to accompany brand new light displays including a reimagined Topiary Collection. Entertainers and musicians will perform in the gardens on select evenings to enhance the experience.

Scioto Mile: Nov. 24 – Jan. 3
Walk the Scioto Mile and enjoy a holiday light display lining the downtown riverfront. This scenery would be perfect for a date or a night out with friends and is sure to blow you away!

Segway Holiday Lights Tour: Dec. 1 – Dec. 23
Enjoy the holiday lights while cruising through downtown Columbus, including along the Scioto Mile and the Arena District, on a segway. In addition, you can listen to all of your favorite holiday tunes while viewing the lights through their wireless sound system!

State Auto’s Christmas Corner: Fridays and Saturdays through Jan. 3
The corner of 518 E. Broad Street will once again light up for the holidays. Although hot cocoa, unfortunately, won’t be returning this year, it will still be complete with a nativity scene and live choir. Face coverings and appropriate physical distancing will be required of all guests.

Grandview Heights: Dec. 7
The Holiday in the Heights Tree Lighting Ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Grandview Avenue and run through 7 p.m. Join them for ice skating, local food, holiday shopping, live music, crafts, a visit from Santa, and more!

Polaris & Delaware

Butch Bando's Fantasy of Lights: Nov. 19 – Jan. 2
Experience a holiday drive-thru light show at the Alum Creek State Park Campgrounds in honor of the late Butch Bando, a long-time Delaware County resident and business owner.

Flying Horse Farms “Light Up Camp”: Nov. 25 – Dec. 26
The half-mile drive through the camp property will feature festively decorated buildings and showcase an updated 10-minute animated light show at the center of camp – plus some fun updates! As always, the event is free to the public with a suggested donation opportunity that supports Flying Horse Farms.

Lights of Glenross: Begins Nov. 24
Known as Ohio's largest free choreographed light show, visitors are invited to drive past more than 300 homes, all decorated in lights choreographed to holiday music.

Delaware tree lighting: Dec. 3
The holiday celebration on Dec. 3 will take place at 6:30 p.m., followed by a shopping open house on the 4th and a parade on the 5th.

Lucy Depp Park Light Show: Nov. 26 – first week of Jan.
Drive through seven and a half acres, decked out in more than 60,000-holiday lights. The entire show loop runs half a mile long and features six beautifully decorated houses. You can find it at 9360 Frabell Drive in Powell.

Powell tree lighting ceremony: Dec. 4
Join Santa, Mrs. Claus and Mayor Frank Bertone for the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m. in Village Green Park, 47 Hall Street. Enjoy a holiday concert presented by the Powell Community Band immediately following the ceremony.

Dublin, Worthington, & Hilliard

Wildlights: Nov. 19 – Jan. 2
The Columbus Zoo transforms into a twinkling display for the holidays. The popular holiday event will run through Jan. 2 and features more than just festive lights, however. Reindeer encounters, camel rides, and a trip on the Polar Bear Express are just some attractions offered by the zoo.

Upper Arlington Winter Festival: Dec. 3
The tree lighting ceremony takes place at 7:30 p.m., complete with exciting events planned to welcome the holiday season. Join them for an evening of ice sculpting, horse-drawn carriage rides, caroling, and visits with Santa.

Westerville & New Albany

Dazzling Christmas Lights: Begins Nov. 25
A synchronized light show set to holiday music is located at 649 Old Coach Road in Westerville. Shows begin after Thanksgiving and run through December. Turn your car radio to 90.1 FM to listen to the lights!

Wonderlights Christmas: Nov. 12 – Jan. 9
Go see over 1 million LED lights synchronized to traditional and newer, rocking Christmas music played through your own car stereo. Pack your vehicle full of friends and family to continue this heartwarming Christmas tradition!

Westerville tree lighting: Dec. 3
The tree lighting begins at 7 p.m. at Westerville City Hall, with holiday festivities running from 5 – 8 p.m. Stop by at your leisure as you enjoy dining, sipping, and shopping in the historic heart of Westerville!

Southeast Columbus

Fields Family Christmas Lights: Begins Nov. 26
The event runs from 5 – 10 p.m. beginning the day after Thanksgiving and features beautifully lit houses located at 288 Fox Glen Drive in East Pickerington.

Pickerington Holiday Gathering: Dec. 3
Festivities include horse-drawn carriage rides, ice sculpting, children’s crafts, cookie decorating, reindeer encounters, train rides, obstacle courses, and even a visit from Santa! There is something for all ages! The events take place from 5 – 8 p.m. at Columbus Street and various other locations around the village.

Reynoldsburg & Eastern Area

Magical Lights of Winter: Nov. 20 – Jan. 9
Magical Lights of Winter are bringing a dazzling drive-thru Christmas lights show to National Trail Raceway. Drive through two miles of lights synced to music with your friends and family, what a night to remember!
