What is a self-guided apartment tour?
Typically, to tour an apartment, you contact a leasing agent, schedule a time that works for both parties, and then wait on them to show you around. A self-guided tour removes the variables of waiting on a leasing agent and scheduling, and instead allows the potential renter (you) to select a time to tour the apartment all on your own.
How does a self-guided tour work?
There are a few key pieces to this process that make self-guided tours convenient, safe, and fun. First, you will apply on the property website to take a self-guided tour. This is as simple as filling out an online appointment request and completing a quick ID verification. After everything is verified, you will then get a confirmation email with instructions for your appointment.
From there, you will access the unit you’re touring through a programmable keypad. This allows the property to set restrictions on who has access to the unit and change the password after every potential renter has toured the property. Once you’re in the unit, you will find flyers and signage that will help you navigate the floor plan and amenities available. When you’re finished looking around, you can lock the door and be on your way!

- 3. You can take your time inside the apartment. Everyone gets a 30-minute timeframe to explore at their own leisure.
